Reporting to the Production Control Supervisor, the Shipping Coordinator will be a crucial role performing both administrative and physical tasks in shipping and receiving.

SHIFT HOURS: This is a first shift position. Shift time will be either 7am-3:30pm OR 8am-4:30pm. We will confirm the shift start and end time at time of offer.

What You Will Do

• Works under supervision but can work unsupervised. Normally follows established procedures on routine work.
• Receives, checks, stores, issues and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control.
• Prepares shipping documents and all paper work that accompanies the shipment. Including any paperwork needed from customer websites.
• Uses ERP system.
• Verifies all work and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical means to load, unload, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material.
• Uses a fork truck and pallet jack daily.
• Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials.
• Proficiently uses computer hardware/software.
• Oversees parts preparation, material handling, measuring and packaging equipment; records calibration logs of tools and equipment.
• Oversees inventory and maintains customer property.
• Maintains contact with personnel from various customers and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process.
• Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices.
• Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
• May use company van to complete local deliveries as needed.
• Must be able to stand 8 hours for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 35 lbs.
• Performs related duties as required.
  
  

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  
  

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software
• Experience with an ERP system. (Examples: SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
