Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. Collins Aerospace has the capabilities, comprehensive portfolio, and expertise to solve customers’ toughest challenges and to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.

The Strategy & Integration Lead for Environmental Effects Engineering (EEE) is the strategic integrator, operational coordinator, and senior advisor to the EEE Leader, responsible for driving cohesion and performance across an enterprise-wide network of engineering test laboratories.

As EEE expands to incorporate more environmental (EMI/EMC, TEMPEST, Dynamics, Climatics, Nuclear effects) and related test labs across Collins Aerospace, the Strategy & Integration Lead ensures unified operations, shared standards, and harmonized execution across a significantly broader organizational footprint.

Building on the current multi-site model (Cedar Rapids, Largo, Marlborough, Melbourne) this role enables EEE to transition into a single, integrated, company-wide testing organization capable of supporting both classified and unclassified programs, spanning defense, commercial, and cross-business-unit applications.

The Strategy & Integration Lead ensures operational excellence, drives strategic initiatives, and builds the enterprise muscle needed for process harmonization, technology investment planning, workforce alignment, and capability integration across a growing number of lab sites.

What You Will Do

  • Partner closely with the EEE Leader to define and execute a unified vision for an enterprise-wide test organization, integrating all Collins test laboratories under a common operating model
  • Lead the development and rollout of multi-site strategies including common processes, asset sharing, cross-site work-share planning, and standardization across all lab types and disciplines
  • Support long-range planning for future lab network expansion, consolidation where appropriate, and alignment of site capabilities with enterprise needs
  • Create a unified operational ecosystem across a large and growing set of environmental, EMI/EMC, TEMPEST, dynamics, climatics, and nuclear effects labs
  • Establish common standards for documentation, safety, SCOUT-based request workflows, quality systems, and execution discipline across all labs
  • Lead deployment and governance of baseline metrics for cost, utilization, throughput, and schedule performance across the expanded network
  • Build business cases for capital investment, modernization, or expansion of key equipment (e.g., chambers, high-power RF systems, shakers, thermal systems
  • Align multi-site workstreams, ensuring resource balance and coordinated execution of complex test campaigns across multiple labs
  • Support integration and modernization initiatives such as TEMPEST chamber expansion, facility upgrades, and cross-site harmonization projects

To Be Successful In This Role

  • Strategic enterprise thinking to coordinate across a large, distributed technical organization
  • Strong operational leadership with expertise in engineering lab environments
  • Ability to influence and align leaders, technical fellows, engineers, and technicians across many sites
  • Comfort with navigating highly technical domains and classified operations
  • Data-driven mindset for interpreting metrics across multiple test disciplines and facilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive, productive relationships across sites, disciplines, and levels of the organization
  • Consistently maintains a constructive, solutions‑oriented attitude, even when navigating ambiguity or competing priorities
  • Ability to foster trust and credibility across engineering, program, and lab operations teams without direct authority

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Previous Project Management Experience is required
  • Previous Leadership Experience is required
