Overview
The Youth Leader will assist in this ministry of faith formation for youth in grades 6th-12th by creating, planning, and facilitating activities for worship, mission, community building, leadership development, and reflection for our small youth group. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help create memorable experiences that encourage youth development and community connection.
Duties
- Build supportive relationships with individual youth and the youth group.
- Build community among the youth.
- Encourage & facilitate youth involvement within the larger church, especially in worship service.
- Plan and facilitate events that combine social activity and faith reflection.
- Plan events and maintain communication among youth members and their parents.
- Maintain communication with your supervisor regarding the calendar and goals.
- Seek opportunities for growing in your own faith.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children or adolescents in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and guide diverse groups of young people.
- Experience facilitating youth group activities or leading team-based projects in outdoor or indoor environments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills gained through teaching, coaching, babysitting, theater production, or similar roles involving youth supervision.

Pay: From $22.04 per hour
