Position Summary
The Kitchen Utility Aide plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This position is responsible for performing a variety of essential support tasks, including washing and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, and equipment; completing general cleaning duties; and properly storing food and non-food supplies. The role also includes supporting basic food preparation as needed.
In addition, the Kitchen Utility Aide maintains daily temperature logs and monitors chemical parts-per-million (PPM) levels to ensure proper sanitation and compliance with health and safety standards. This position is critical in upholding cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency in the kitchen, particularly during peak service hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleans and sanitizes glassware, China, flatware, production equipment, work surfaces, pots, and pans, and completes additional cleaning tasks as assigned by the Executive Chef or in accordance with established cleaning schedules and procedures
- Operates and maintains the dishwashing machine, ensuring it remains in proper working order; changes wash water at least every two hours, and reports any malfunctions to the Executive Chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas.
- Distributes and properly stores clean pots, pans, glassware, China, utensils, and kitchen equipment in designated areas
- Sets up and maintains dishwashing and pot-washing stations to ensure efficient workflow
- Remove trash, recycling, and linen containers, keeping disposal areas clean, maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Completes daily temperature logs and monitors chemical parts-per-million (PPM) levels to ensure proper sanitation and compliance with health standards
- Assists the storeroom clerk with receiving, organizing, and storing food and non-food supplies
- Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies in designated areas
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working in a commercial kitchen or restaurant utility role is a plus
- Prior experience working in a Senior living community is a plus

Saturday & Sunday Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary: $16 per hour.
