Primary Location: 4800 Preston Park Boulevard, Plano, Texas, 75093 We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Job Summary: Provide program coordination and management for the Medical Massage Therapy program, including staffing, facility and resource/equipment management and inventory control, program promotion, accreditation preparation and compliance, curriculum development and revision, course instruction, instructor evaluation, clinical site management, student and application management, and compliance with state regulations. Required Qualifications: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervision, management, and administration of the day-to-day activities of the program. Align the program with accreditation standards and state compliance regulations; work closely with accrediting body and state licensing agency. Teach assigned classes if needed, with sufficient non-instructional time to effectively fulfill administrative and compliance duties. Curriculum design, curriculum assessment, instructional supervision, and instructional evaluation. Maintain current awareness of the field through professional development specific to the program. Participate in service to the college. Responsible for budget development and management; maintenance of adequate resources and institutional support for the program. Participate in the financial planning and management of the program to ensure net revenue goals are met or exceeded. Serve as the primary contact for students, instructors, and staff. Recruit, interview, and recommend the hiring of part-time instructors and staff for the program. Promote the program through internal and external sources and through social media using college approved artwork. Assist with managing the student admission, advisement, progression, completion, certification and licensing process for the program. Assist in facilitating and resolving student complaints/concerns in a constructive, fair, and balanced manner, following the college’s core values while working with instructors, students, and college staff. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of the medical massage therapy industry Knowledge of the requirements for certifications (hours and skills) Knowledge of site requirements for lab and clinical sites Knowledge and fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Critical thinking skills Organizational skills Verbal and written communication skills Decision making and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to work and effectively communicate with a diverse group of constituents, including college officials, faculty, students, business and industry providers Ability to compile, manage, and interpret data Ability to assess project management needs Ability to maintain a positive attitude and outlook while prioritizing and multitasking under pressure amid deadlines Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Requirements Associate degree in a related field from an accredited institution is required. Five (5) years of experience as a licensed massage therapist is required. Two (2) years of supervisory experience. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution Two (2) years of experience in a medical setting Licenses and Certifications Current active licensure as a massage therapy instructor in the State of Texas. **This position is Security Sensitive, therefore, candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.** The above description is an overview of the job.
