QMHP-Adult Intensive Services Team Lead

The Team Lead is responsible for training and support of staff in the Adult Behavioral Health program to ensure that clinical services are performed with high fidelity standards and in accordance with UM guidelines, TAC requirements, and trauma informed person-centered recovery practices. The Team Lead serves as the expert of providing high-quality services and can train and model service delivery for their team members. Duties include providing direct services to individuals on the team at least 40 hours per month; providing documented coaching each month as indicated by each team member’s clinical needs; and providing observation of each team member at least quarterly for tenured staff. Coaching will consist of observation, regular chart audits, and regular discussion with team members on areas in which they need additional clinical guidance.

Lead will maintain a regular caseload and will provide full-service array as allowed by credentials. Lead works under the supervision of the Intensive Services Supervisor and ensures effective communication regarding provider operations, performance, and problems. Additional duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the program

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field from a four year university.
• Bachelor’s degree must meet Texas Administrative Code requirements for a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Clinical Services (QMHP-CS).
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field preferred. 
• Has at least three years of clinical experience in the treatment of individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.  If a shorter time, the individual’s experience, and aptitude to learn and perform role quickly will be taken into consideration.
• Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative relationships.
• Self-starter who works closely with all team members and takes initiative in completing tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure effective communication regarding behavioral health needs and services
• Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
• Knowledge of the social services system and the ability to guide staff in connecting individuals with appropriate services.
• Knowledge of the current version of the Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
• Organized, detail oriented, computer proficient, and able to write clearly and professionally.
• Ability to respond to individuals with patience, empathy, and understanding.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
