Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Ensure Orders are accurately delivered to assigned locations/customers
- Organize and pack product load into van
- Deliver and drop off products to the stores/customers
- Pick up products from stores/customers to bring back to Hub if needed
- Safely drive to all store locations/customer sites and follow the rules of the road
- Report any safety concerns or issues with vehicle to supervisor immediately
- Be courteous of other drivers on the road, treat them as potential customers
- Ensure that daily and regular maintenance of the van is kept up and completed
- Regularly clean the interior and exterior of the delivery van to company standard
- Maintains safety and cleanliness of vehicle by keeping the interior and exterior of the van clean
- Report maintenance issues to supervisor in a timely manner
- Professionally and efficiently communicate with Store Managers, Warehouse, Supervisor, Operations, Manager and others as needed daily to better serve our customers
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and delivers product to correct locations with less than 3% error rate
- 2 years delivery driving experience
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record (CDL license NOT required)
- Applicants are subject to a criminal background and driving record check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 150 lbs
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Regularly required to sit for long periods of time while driving; but when making deliveries to stores will be required to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and lift product to desired delivery location in each store
- Work performed while driving company van but will also be exposed to the outdoors and store environments on delivery route
- Routinely uses standard delivery equipment like loading ramps and dollies
