Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Resident Engineer to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection team in New Jersey! Candidates may be located near Mays Landing or Mt. Laurel.

- Ability to lead inspectors or act as a solo inspector for the construction inspection of bridge and/or highway projects including measuring and calculating quantities and documenting work with daily work reports, photos, and sketches.
- Oversee and coordinate documentation of construction inspection including pay estimates, change orders, daily work reports, quantity checking, meeting minutes, material certifications, etc.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with specifications.
- Apply project plans, along with company policies, guidelines, standards, specifications to the work and make decisive decisions.
- Maintain project documentation and communicate with individuals at all levels of the project.
- Coordinate activities on the project site and resolve problems related to the work.
- Lead other construction inspectors; providing coaching, mentoring, and direction as needed.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering field preferred.
- 6 years of construction engineering/inspection experience required.
- 10-hour OSHA certification required.
- Valid US driver's license required.
- Leadership skills, decision making, and attention to detail.
- Previous experience working with/for NJDOT and/or municipal clients as a Resident Engineer.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Compensation: $45.00 to $71.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
