Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an experienced, licensed Project Architect to join our growing Healthcare team in Boston or Agawam, MA. This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare design professional to help shape innovative, high-performing environments that enhance the experience of both patients and caregivers. Prior healthcare project experience is required. Responsibilities
- Provide design guidance and technical leadership on healthcare projects.
- Make decisions independently regarding architectural complexities and methods.
- Provide consultative services and guidance to project teams as well as leadership and mentoring.
- Participate in client meetings.
- Establish & maintain positive relationships with co-workers and support and build others on the team and across disciplines/offices.
- Be responsive to others and share information to improve efficiency and help others achieve goals.
- Suggest new ideas and processes and stay informed of developments in the STI practice.
- Prepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environ-mental impact studies and designs for project.
- Ensure design meets code requirements.
- Coordinate changes to construction documents.
- Research product materials and work with manufacturers to determine costs and best product.
- Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure design QA/QC.
- Respond and review RFIs and submittals.
- Participate in the creation of proposal and/or client meeting materials.
- Delegate and oversee tasks assigned to Intern Architects and Summer Interns.
- Be responsive to others and share information to improve efficiency and help others achieve goals; listen and engage in productive and critical debate.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited university is required; Master's degree preferred.
- Licensed architect in MA or able to be licensed through reciprocity required.
- 8 years of architectural experience with the majority of time spent in healthcare.
- Experience in science and technology markets a plus.
- Strong experience with Revit abilities.
- Ability to mentor is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
