Compensation: $24.00-$29.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)

Responsibilities
- Will work primarily in the field to assist and develop under the direction of a responsible crew chief.
- Operate data collection technology and input correct coding to generate line-work and functional daily downloads.
- Read and understands plans and specifications.
- Develop and build on fundamental understanding of property boundary knowledge, survey principles, and techniques.
- Know basic trigonometry, sources of measurement errors, and proper data collection methods.
- Dig ground using a pick, shovel and other hand tools to search for and locate survey monuments.
- Cut and remove brush and undergrowth for line of sight.
- Hold and plum rod in obtaining elevations and distances.
- Drive stakes to set grades on construction projects.
- Provide quality customer service and ability to effectively interact with the public and clients on-site.
- Know, understand and demonstrate safe working/operating methods of assigned tools and equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 2 years of experience required.
- Electronic Transmission/Distribution experience is a plus.
- Must be physically able to work long hours and carry heavy loads ( 50 lbs).
- Possess good interpersonal skills, and effective written and oral communication skills.
- Attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential requirements.
- Enrollment in survey related coursework preferred.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record required. MVR will be checked and monitored.
- Travel and out-of-town stay required at times.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
