Colliers Engineering & Design is currently looking for a Commercial Retail Store Designer to join our team in Philadelphia, PA! Our interior designers go beyond the observed finishes and furniture to create innovative solutions by reviewing every component within a building’s interior. Then, we execute a successful design by taking an objective look at your organization and observing how you work and function within that space.

Our team of professionals possess a holistic understanding of the evolving retail landscape and the challenges that arise in competitive shopping spaces across the nation. From strategic program management to building assessment to aggressive store rollouts, we collaborate closely with our clients to deliver exceptional experiences that build brand loyalty and customer retention for a diverse range of communities.

Responsibilities
- Work with Senior Interior Designer, Project Architect or above to develop design schematics and concepts.
- Maintain knowledge of public health and safety codes, including accessibility, environmental and sustainability guidelines.
- Create documents for construction drawing sets.
- Uses drawing and drafting techniques, as well as design and planning principles.
- Coordinate with in-house and/or outside consultants from other design disciplines.
- Select finishes, furniture, fixtures and equipment appropriate to project requirement.
- Create presentation materials such as finish concepts and renderings.
- Assist in site visits for field measurements, verification, and punch-lists.
- Maintain department library and samples.
- May attend client meetings, research and analyze the client’s goals and requirements, and develop a programming outline.
- Establish & maintain positive relationships with co-workers, support and build others on the team and across disciplines/offices.
- Be responsive to others and share information to improve efficiency and help others achieve goals; listen and engage in productive and critical debate.
- Suggest new ideas and processes; stay informed of developments in practice areas; view obstacles as opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture and 0-2 years of professional commercial design experience.
- Functional knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Programs, and SketchUp.
- AutoCAD, Adobe Creative, and SketchUp experience is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to effectively work well with all employees and managers.
- A willingness to learn.
- Strong technology skills.
- Able to work closely with others.
- Willing to Travel.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
