This highly skilled team of professionals offers a full range of bridge services from scoping, planning and preliminary engineering through final design, for small to large scale bridges.

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Department Manager to lead our Bridges & Structures team in Ohio! Candidates may be located anywhere in Ohio.

This highly skilled team of professionals offers a full range of bridge services from scoping, planning and preliminary engineering through final design, for small to large scale bridges.
Responsibilities
- Performs duties in support of the direction and vision of the overall discipline for their assigned geographic location.
- Collaborate with other Department Managers within the region and with the Regional Discipline Leader.
- Active involvement with marketing and business development.
- Monitors work backlog and the sharing of work within the region and discipline.
- Actively involved in the cross selling of all company services.
- Serve as a resource for project managers and staff on assigned projects and manage completion of projects regarding scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
- Provide staff/managers with technical assistance and supervision in the preparation of proposals and contracts for assigned projects.
- New business development and management/maintenance of existing clients. Assist in the development of the annual business plan for the discipline.
- Manage the financial aspects of assigned team(s) and monitor the performance of the business to meet or exceed revenue and/or profit goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
- 10 years of experience in bridge engineering is required; 7 years of experience with preparing proposals, developing budgets, tracking budgets and the associated financial management skills necessary to run a team and monitor the performance of the business.
- Ohio PE license is required (or through reciprocity).
- Knowledgeable in best practices, trends, and other influences that affect CED and the environment in which we work, to maintain our position as an industry leader.
- Possess and demonstrate the ability to lead effectively and efficiently, plan, organize and manage procedures, protocols, and staff to achieve desired results.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
