Looking for a crossed trained Veterinary Technician that can perform reception duties and who wants to grow with our brand new practice and learn new skills !!
Duties:
- Front desk reception
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
Looking for an experienced Technician or Assistant who wants to grow with our brand new practice and learn new skills !!
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and Digital Radiology
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians (Oral treatments, Subcutaneous, Intramuscular and Intravenous Injections)
- Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and dentistry, monitor the health and well-being of animals before, during, and after procedures
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment plans
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Provide compassionate care and support to animals and their owners
Skills:
- Radiology
- Physical examination and patient assessment
- Knowledge in Venipuncture
- Catheter placement
- Compassionate care for hospitalized patients
- Dentistry
- Anesthesia and Pain management
- Surgical preparation
- Surgical monitoring
- Post op / Recovery protocols
- Record keeping.
- Diagnostic lab procedures

Interested in acquiring new skills as:
- Neonatal basic and emergency care
- Reproduction protocols and timing heat cycles in canines
- Stem Cell and PRP preparation and Administration
- Blood bank protocols and procedures
- Official certifications for animals with breeding purposes (OFA, Pen-hip, AKC, DNA testing etc...)
```Experience```
- Knowledge of Anesthesia monitoring, vital signs recording and post op care
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician / Surgery Technician
- Proficient in veterinary care, and aseptic technique
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and medical procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with clients and other veterinary staff
