Build More Than Financial Models. Help Shape Multifamily Communities.
Collier Enterprises is an investor and is actively involved in the management of Legacy Partners, a platform focused on ground-up development of Class A multifamily communities across the United States. Projects are typically held through construction and lease-up and sold at stabilized occupancy. As part of each project, Collier Enterprises provides G.P. capital and limited guarantees to Limited Partners and lending partners (www.collierenterprises.com)
We are hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to support the executive who oversees the Legacy Partners portfolio. This role sits at the center of project capitalization, financial modeling, and guarantee-risk analysis for a pipeline of ground-up multifamily developments, with regular direct contact with Legacy’s Regional Managers and staff.
In this highly visible role, you will work alongside senior leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, develop institutional-quality financial models, support capital partners and lenders, and help drive strategic decisions throughout the development lifecycle—from acquisition and underwriting through construction, lease-up, stabilization, and disposition.
What You'll Do
As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will:
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for ground-up Class A multifamily developments, including construction budgets, project capitalization, return waterfalls, and sensitivity analysis.
- Prepare investment opportunity summaries and leasing reports for each project, using a consistent, standardized format across the portfolio.
- Analyze exposure under completion, environmental, carry, and repayment guarantees, and flag conditions that could trigger a guarantee call or put invested capital at risk.
- Track capital stacks, debt terms, draw schedules, and investor return metrics from closing through stabilized sale.
- Monitor construction progress, leasing velocity, and stabilization timelines against underwriting assumptions.
- Support underwriting and due diligence on new development opportunities.
- Communicate directly and professionally with lenders, equity investors, joint venture partners, and other outside counterparties.
- Draft clear, concise written materials — reports, summaries, and correspondence — for both internal and external audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Masters degree in Real Estate or Finance is a benefit.
- 3–5 years of experience in real estate finance, development, or investment analysis; ground-up multifamily development experience strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of real estate project capitalization, capital stacks, and construction and permanent debt structures.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills with the ability to build complex institutional-quality financial models from the ground up.
- A high bar for accuracy with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining outstanding attention to detail.
- Excellent written ability with strong grammatical and editing skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills — able to present information clearly, confidently, and succinctly.
- Professional maturity and polish suitable for frequent, direct interaction with external counterparties.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight.
What Makes This Opportunity Unique
This position offers far more than traditional financial analysis. You'll become an integral member of the real estate investment and finance team, directly influencing acquisition decisions, capital deployment, project performance, and long-term business strategy.
Your work will help evaluate multimillion-dollar investment opportunities while partnering with executives, lenders, investors, brokers, and development professionals throughout the country.
