What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tradesworker Specialist II - Electrical (Facilities Management) position at Collier County?
Conducts routine generator inspections, load testing, fuel system inspections, and emergency response support during declared and undeclared emergencies.
Assists with maintaining operational readiness of backup power systems supporting critical county facilities including public safety, detention facilities, emergency operations, communications infrastructure, and essential government services.
Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and upgrades electrical systems and components, including lighting systems, electrical panels, generators, transfer switches, motors, disconnects, branch circuitry, and electrically operated equipment.
Utilizes testing equipment and diagnostic tools to identify electrical faults, trace circuits, verify voltage, and ensure compliance with applicable electrical and safety standards.
High school diploma or GED required.
Four (4) years of related experience.
Fingerprinting required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License with any applicable endorsement(s) to drive a county vehicle as provided in CMA 5805.Four (4) years of related experience.

Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency. The County’s Administrative Office will determine who will be required to work on an incident-by-incident basis.
