What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager II position at Collier County?

• Drafts and coordinates RFPs, RFIs, etc.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, permits, policies, and procedures.
• Draft memos and conduct research for solid waste, water, and wastewater projects, including but not limited to debris mission recovery and FEMA requirements.
• Monitors work status and ensures compliance with terms of contract, including but not limited to invoices.
• Interacts, consults, and coordinates efforts with internal and external shareholders, including but not limited to coordinating and participating in meetings, and/or responding to inquiries/complaints.
• Identify and assist with complex problems and/or situations, including but not limited to, and technical work, research, implementation, as needed.
• Tracks status of work in progress and conducts inspections, as needed, and ensures quality control.
• Monitors work environment to ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Initiates any actions necessary to correct deviations or violations.
• Reviews and makes recommendations for plans, designs, specifications, and reports.
• Prepares and submits project budgets, and monitors expenditures to ensure compliance.
• Create project schedules, and monitor the progress of the project in meeting the established schedule.
• Coordinates process for bidding and contracting of services, including collaboration, as necessary, for preparation of solicitations for services and/or work.
• Manage project, with shareholders, as necessary, including but not limited to scope, procurement, solicitation, addendums, progress meetings
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- Three (3) years of related experience.
- Candidates without a degree should possess four (4) additional years of related experience.
- Fingerprinting required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
- Required to possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License with any applicable endorsement(s) to drive a county vehicle as provided in CMA
Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency. The County’s Administrative Office will determine who will be required to work on an incident-by-incident basis.
