Business Development Manager - Sydney and NSW (North)

With a significant opportunity ahead in the Australian market, Collette is looking for a Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in our growth across the Sydney and Northern NSW Territory and to build partnerships, grow awareness and lead premium guided travel growth.
Collette is a premium small‑group touring specialist, singularly focused on guided travel — it’s all we do, and we do it exceptionally well.
Reporting to the Director of Field Sales, Australia, this is a field‑based, new business focused role for someone who excels at prospecting, opening doors and converting opportunity into long‑term commercial value. You’ll act as a trusted partner to the travel agent community and a brand ambassador for Collette’s premium guided travel portfolio.

Collette offers a competitive base salary uncapped commission, bonus plans and sales award incentives for the right candidate.
What you’ll be responsible for:
Driving growth & new business
- Grow sales by acquiring new travel agency partners and expanding existing relationships.
- Build awareness and advocacy for Collette as a leader in premium small group guided travel
- Deliver engaging presentations, training and in‑person meetings with agents and consumers.
- Identify local growth opportunities and activate targeted marketing initiatives.
- Work closely with the Director of Field Sales ANZ on performance and opportunity planning.
Market presence & representation
- Be highly visible in market through face‑to‑face meetings, training and presentations
- Support and activate partner marketing initiatives to drive demand and engagement
- Represent Collette at industry events, trade shows and sales meetings
- Act as a credible, confident ambassador for premium small group guided travel.
About you:
- Proven experience and success in a competitive sales or business development environment (travel industry experience highly regarded).
- History of high-level achievement and overcoming obstacles in business.
- Comfortable prospecting, opening new conversations and building relationships.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to convert opportunity into results.
- Confident presenter and communicator, both one‑to‑one and in group settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, positive, and professional approach and demeanor.
- Passion for networking in person, via phone, e-mail, online and social media.
- Self‑motivated, organised and comfortable working autonomously in market.
- Willingness to travel within territory, including overnight stays.
- Driver’s license required.
