Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our home health team. This is a part-time, pay-per-visit position ideal for a clinician who values flexibility and independence while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in the home setting.
The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans, improve patient function, and promote safe mobility in the home environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled physical therapy interventions in patients’ homes under PT supervision
- Follow established plan of care and document patient progress accurately and timely
- Communicate effectively with supervising PT regarding patient status and needs
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies
- Maintain compliance with Medicare and home health documentation standards
Requirements:
- Current license as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Minimum 1 year of home health experience required
- Strong clinical reasoning and independent decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Compensation:
