***This position is grant-funded through July 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension contingent upon additional funding.***
Responsible for supporting internal district teams of central office and school-based members that focuses meaningful collective action on finding solutions and creating new knowledge that will advance the ability to address long-standing equity challenges and accelerate academic and whole child outcomes for all students. Accomplishes this by leading teams through a continuous improvement fellowship program designed to solve persistent problems of practice.

What You'll Do:

  • Supports a group of leaders within the district to identify areas where an approach to improvement will accelerate District-wide learning on challenges critical to achieving successful outcomes of District strategies
  • Designs, initiates, and leads a fellowship program in improvement science methodology organized around supporting projects aligned to problems of practice critical to achieving District priorities through establishing a common aim, driver model, prototyping and testing change ideas, and disseminating and scaling of improvement knowledge
  • Creates the culture and systems for a diverse group of members across schools, central functions, and communities to build a structured that learns together and enables meaningful collective action toward solving persistent problem projects at the district level
  • Designs and leads professional learning for central office members (managers and above) to build their capacity to be an effective member of the district’s strategic team, serve as leaders in the district, and lead rigorous improvement and learning toward their departments key projects
  • Develops and manages improvement fellowship key functions and communication structures; leveraging collaboration tools and learning management systems to document the progress and outcomes of department projects and contributes practical learning to cross-district stakeholders
  • Manages and delivers the outcomes of multiple, complex, and often multi-year improvement projects at once, ensuring district leaders have clear implementation plans, committed resources, targets for success, timely flow of information and methods for progress monitoring and risk identification and mitigation
  • Models improvement practices intentionally and strategically to build the capability of others and ensure that district leaders are actualizing learning communities within their department that continually work to improve operation, performance, and culture

What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma/ GED - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree - Education, Improvement Sciences and Project Management - Preferred
  • Master's Degree - Education, Improvement Sciences and Project Management - Preferred
  • Two (2 ) Plus years professional experience engaged in any combination of teaching, coaching, or school/other educational leadership or adult learning. Experience leading teams and driving improvement in educational settings. - Required
  • Ability to assess appropriate priorities and organize workload on multiple assignments
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products and/or Project Management Software (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Communicate diplomatically, persuasively, effective oral, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a credible and confident manner at all levels in the organization, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals, establish priorities, and organize resources
  • Ability to provide creative, solution-oriented support to complex situations
