The Associate Director of Reunion Giving reports to the Director, Class Engagement. The Associate Director oversees the development and implementation of the overall reunion fundraising program. Working with class-based and reunion volunteers, the Associate Director will develop communication and segmentation strategies and tactics to meet both dollar and donor goals for each of their assigned classes. The Associate Director of Reunion Giving will also work closely with the Class Engagement Officers and frontline fundraising team to create strategies that maximize dollars raised.

Job Description

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • In partnership with the class engagement and frontline fundraising teams, develop gift pyramids, establish revenue projections, and ensure ambitious yet achievable fundraising goals for Reunion classes.
  • Work with Advancement colleagues as well as key alumni volunteers to develop and implement strategic plans to engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni in support of Reunion fundraising goals.
  • Manage the fundraising efforts of two milestone Reunion classes, including volunteer recruitment, goal setting, prospect strategy, solicitation planning, communications, and progress monitoring.
  • Manage the engagement and fundraising efforts of 12-15 non-Reunion classes, developing strategies that encourage participation, giving, and continued engagement.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on Reunion giving data, including dollars raised, donor participation, average gift size, giving trends, prospect movement, and progress toward class and program goals. Use data and historical trends to identify opportunities, assess the effectiveness of fundraising strategies, inform forecasting, and recommend adjustments throughout the Reunion cycle.
  • Develop and maintain regular Reunion fundraising reports, dashboards, and other tracking tools to provide timely and actionable information to leadership, Class Engagement Officers, frontline fundraisers, and volunteers. Communicate progress, emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities to key stakeholders.
  • Analyze historical Reunion giving results and year-over-year trends to inform goal setting, gift pyramids, prospect strategies, volunteer assignments, and overall program planning.
  • Partner with Advancement Services, Prospect Development, Data Analytics, and other Advancement colleagues to ensure the accuracy and effective use of Reunion fundraising data and reporting.
  • Monitor progress toward Reunion goals throughout the fundraising cycle and proactively identify classes, prospects, or volunteer teams that may require additional attention.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Reunion fundraising communications, including targeted solicitations, volunteer communications, progress updates, and other materials designed to motivate alumni giving.
  • Stay current on alumni engagement and fundraising trends and incorporate best practices into Reunion giving strategies and volunteer management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree and have a strong sense of the mission of the College and the value of a liberal arts education.
  • The Associate Director will bring 3-5 years of Advancement or transferable experience.
  • The Associate Director should be goal and detail-oriented, able to travel, work independently, with some evenings and weekends as required.
  • Should be able to meet people easily and work well with others and project a positive image of the College.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; possess the ability to inspire colleagues and motivate volunteers.
  • Initiative, good judgment and sensitivity to confidential information required.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.

Salary Range: The Associate Director of Reunion Giving position offers a salary range of $70,000-$75,000 commensurate with experience and education.
