Are you an experienced manufacturing professional who enjoys mentoring others? College of the Canyons is seeking industry experts to teach the next generation of machinists, CNC operators, CAD/CAM programmers, and manufacturing technicians.

This is an excellent opportunity to share your real-world experience while maintaining your career in industry. Flexible teaching schedules are available based on department needs.

What You'll Teach

Courses may include topics such as:

  • Manufacturing fundamentals
  • Industrial safety
  • Precision measurement and metrology
  • Blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Metallurgy
  • Manual machining
  • CNC machining and programming
  • CAD/CAM using Mastercam and SolidWorks
  • Manufacturing mathematics and calculations

Students gain hands-on experience preparing for careers in aerospace, automotive, advanced manufacturing, and other high-demand industries. Many courses also prepare students for National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certifications.

Minimum Qualifications

You may qualify if you have:

  • A bachelor's degree and at least two years of professional manufacturing experience

OR

  • An associate degree and at least six years of professional manufacturing experience

Teaching experience is welcome but not required. Industry experience is highly valued.
