Job Summary
Under the direction of the Foundation Executive Director, coordinates the CEI scholarship program and supports the overall fundraising efforts for the foundation. Works closely with the Executive Director and the Foundation Board to cultivate donor relationships. Performs critical accounting functions as well as miscellaneous administrative support activities.

Typical Job Functions

  • Serves as the primary Foundation contact for scholarship applicants and recipients regarding procedures and requirements
  • Provides information to students, schools, and CEI staff about scholarship opportunities and awards
  • Oversees the CEI Alumni Network and works with the Alumni Committee and others to publicize alumni messaging, recruit new members, and coordinate alumni engagement opportunities
  • Supports the planning & execution of a broad spectrum of on- and off- campus events
  • Works with the Financial Aid Office to attract and recruit scholarship applicants. Conducts presentations about CEI Foundation scholarships as required
  • Assists in the management and coordination of volunteers for Foundation activities and events including communicating responsibilities and assignments and supervision
  • Performs various accounting functions for scholarship and Foundation funds including deposits, invoicing, etc.
  • Collaborates with campus departments to create and implement scholarship procedures to best serve students
  • Performs database input for donor interactions, including contact reports and donations, and prepares reports, thank you letters, annual receipts, etc. from donor database
  • Serves as the primary contact for processing and coordinating gifts in kind, including vehicle donations and program equipment
  • Attends and participates on committees as requested
  • Serves as a CEI representative with community organizations as requested
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education plus experience
  • Experience working in a professional office setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of basic computing programs including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Forms
  • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships
  • Knowledge of donor database management techniques
  • Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn't sponsor Visas)

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • 2 years of fundraising experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, gross manipulations (involves hands) and standing or sitting (combination). Employees generally work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.
On-site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.

Background Investigations:
Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position. Please refer to Policy 225: Background Checks
