Job Summary
Seeking qualified, experienced instructors to teach Human Anatomy & Physiology I & II (BIOL 227 & 228). This is a two-course sequence of human anatomy and physiology. These courses cover the body structures and how they function to maintain homeostasis. All the systems of the body are covered in the two-course sequence.
Successful candidates will have experience, and be willing to instruct, using face-to-face and virtual classroom modalities as needed.
This position is an 11-month contract.

Typical Job Functions
- Teaches BIOL 227 &/or BIOL 228 Human Anatomy & Physiology (four credits each) with accompanying lab sections
- Holds regular office hours
- Develops related instructional materials (such as syllabus, lectures, course materials, evaluation tools, classroom activities, and others) for either face to face or virtual instruction
- Attends in-service and other departmental meetings
- Participate with committees and other service opportunities to the college.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in biology, professional health degree, or closely related discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in any of these discipline
- Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn’t sponsor H-1B Visas)
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Instructional experience, preferably at a post-secondary level
- Clinical Experience
- Instructional experience with Pathophysiology, Microbiology and/or other introductory biology classes
- Bilingual (Spanish)
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
On-site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.
Background Investigations:
Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position. Please refer to Policy 225: Background Checks
