Job Summary
This is a 19.5 hour per week maximum, part-time student position. The Desk Assistant (DA) is a current College of Coastal Georgia student employee that will complete administrative tasks working the front desk of the Residence Halls. This position requires employees who are able to positively represent this Office and the College with a positive and professional demeanor.
The student employee must have effective writing, verbal communication skills, and Microsoft Office skills. Student employees must have a high level of integrity as they may come into contact with confidential information. The DA will act as an information resource in the residence halls, maintain a high level of ethical standards and always display a positive attitude. The DA will assist with administrative tasks at the front desks of the residence halls assisting students with Residential Life & Housing tasks and questions.
The weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the student¿s class schedule. The work schedule is subject to change between semesters or as needed. Students are not to work during scheduled class time, even if class is cancelled or dismissed early.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities -
- Perform administrative front desk duties
- Act as an information resource
- Process lockouts, issue and/or receive keys
- Receive, process, and issue student mail
- Submit maintenance work orders
- Perform check in and check out duties
Educational Requirements
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at all times
- Must have and maintain a semester and cumulative 2.0 grade point average
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug test and is subject to random drug testing
- May not be employed in more than one job at a time on campus
$9.00 per hour
