Role Description:
We are seeking an entry-level, full-time Student Services Assistant to join our Student Services team. The position is located in our Schertz, TX office, with hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, offering slight flexibility for the ideal candidate.
In this role, you will manage administrative tasks for the Student Services Department, including coordinating student enrollment documents, maintaining student records in a Student Information Systems database, creating enrollment packets, and supporting students throughout the admissions process and assisting students and alumni with career readiness, job placement, and employer engagement initiatives.
Timely and efficient communication via email, text messaging, and phone is essential, providing detailed information about our educational programs, courses, academic calendar, enrollment procedures, and career opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions & Student Services
- Coordinate and collect student enrollment documents via email and phone.
- Maintain accurate student enrollment and academic records in internal databases.
- Create and manage student enrollment packets.
- Guide prospective students through the admissions process and application procedures.
- Provide accurate information about CBET’s programs, academic calendar, and enrollment requirements.
- Manage administrative communications including email, phone, and data entry tasks.
- Assist other departments with data collection and problem-solving.
- Coordinate New Student Orientation and onboarding initiatives.
Career Services Support
- Provide career services support, including:
- HTM employment guidance and assistance
- Resume review and interview preparation
- Job placement assistance for students and alumni
- Build and maintain relationships with students and employer partners to support employment and training opportunities.
- Manage job placement documentation and data tracking to ensure accuracy and compliance with accreditation and reporting requirements.
- Oversee and support the CBET Careers platform and online job board.
- Represent CBET at career fairs, hiring events, and industry engagement opportunities.
Key Qualifications:
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Positive, friendly, professional demeanor in a fast-paced office environment.
- Typing speed of at least 65 words per minute with accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and reliability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook); experience with Student Information Systems preferred.
- Customer service, administrative, or student services experience preferred.
- Ability to listen and respond effectively to staff and student needs.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and responsibilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary range is $40,000 to $45,000, depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits.
