Our Summer Mover position will officially open on April 24th! All applicants should expect to be contacted for an interview for our summer seasonal team. The summer season runs from April 24th to August 30th, and for those interested, we do offer opportunities to continue working with us beyond the summer as well!

PART TIME AND FULL TIME POSITIONS OPEN

We work around your personal and academic schedules.

The Part Time Position will range, hours primarily between 10-25/week depending on employees’ availability. More hours are offered upon request!

The Full Time Position will range, hours primarily between 32-39.5 scheduled hours/week depending on employees’ availability. Overtime is offered over 40 hrs!

Wages:

Movers: $17/Hr - $18/Hr TIPS

Crew Managers & Driver's: $19/Hr - $24/Hr TIPS

Job Description

The position will consist of moving boxes, small and large furniture, appliances, beds, and other common and uncommon household items.

25% of College Movers is also Junk Hauling, where movers will need to remove "junk" items from a customer's home. Some common "junk" items would be unwanted or unusable furniture and appliances, wood and home renovation debris, or garage and basement junk.

Moves & Junk Hauls are not limited by size. College Movers & Junk Hauling provides both residential and commercial services to all.

All employees must start at mover status before being promoted to crew manager

Promotions may occur within weeks/months, based on required criteria.

Flexible scheduling available. Daily hours will vary depending on the customer's needs, (also depending on your availability).

The Crew Manager position.

As a Crew Manager you will also be in charge of 1-3 movers, driving the moving truck, managing job sites, coordinating truck packing, delegating tasks to other employees, and managing customer relations.

• Able to carry heavy items up stairs and long distance

Crew Managers Responsibilities:

• Able to drive a box trucks and similar vehicles of all sizes
• Display leadership skills
• Professional
• Must have smartphone to handle customer transactions
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and supervisors regarding delivery and pick up status along with on-site questions
• Educate coworkers and customers on the operation of equipment and proper moving techniques
• Build strong relationships with customers
• Thorough understanding of company policies

Employee Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED is Preferred
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools to assemble/disassemble all types of furniture and equipment
• Above average fitness level is preferred
• No prior moving experience required
