What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Captain position at College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving?
ABOUT THE ROLE: We’re looking for a Team Captain who not only leads in the field but also plays a hands-on role in helping us build and grow our team. You’ll be the go-to for setting the tone, training team members, and delivering 5-star service—but you’ll also support our recruiting efforts by identifying strong candidates, giving hiring feedback, and helping onboard new team members.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead daily moving or hauling jobs while ensuring high service standards
- Guide and motivate your team—on the job and during training
- Help identify strong candidates during working interviews or referrals
- Provide input during the hiring process and support new hire onboarding
- Maintain safety standards and a positive team culture
- Communicate effectively with managers and franchise owners
- Represent the brand with professionalism and a positive attitude
- Load, pack, and transport items safely and efficiently
- Be reliable, respectful, and ready to lead by example
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Someone with natural leadership skills and a passion for teamwork
- Comfortable giving feedback, training others, and jumping in where needed
- Experience in labor, construction, warehouse, or logistics helpful but not required
- Strong communicator who enjoys working with people
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Able to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs, and be on your feet
- Willing to submit to a background check
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
