College Foundation, Inc. (CFI), is a non-profit corporation serving North Carolina students and families since 1955. We administer education loan programs, several major grant and scholarship programs funded by the State of North Carolina for students attending North Carolina colleges and universities, and the tax-advantaged "529" college savings program on behalf of the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority (NCSEAA). CFI also provides administrative support for College For North Carolina (CFNC), a free service of the State of North Carolina which promotes NC higher education and assists students with education planning, career planning and applying and paying for college.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Raleigh, NC with the flexibility for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. The Payroll Analyst will handle tasks including processing a biweekly payroll, ensuring compliance with payroll taxes, assisting employees and resolving discrepancies, and preparing documentation for audits. The role also involves conducting thorough analyses of payroll data and supporting accounting-related payroll functions. The position will assist with other Human Resources functions in the areas of benefits, recruitment, onboarding, etc. Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience in payroll administration, processing or analysis
- CPP Certification is required
- Prior HRIS software experience, preferably with Paylocity
- Advanced Excel proficiency to include familiarity with functions, formula creation, VLOOKUPS, pivot tables.
- Understanding of payroll laws and tax regulations
- Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
- High degree of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain composure during stressful situations
- Ability to work autonomously and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- At minimum an associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
