Job Summary
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Part-Time Daycare Helper to assist teachers and staff in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. The Daycare Helper will support daily activities, supervise children, maintain cleanliness, and help ensure the smooth operation of the daycare facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist caregivers and teachers with daily classroom activities.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods.
- Help prepare and serve snacks and meals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Support children in developing social, emotional, and learning skills.
- Assist with arts, crafts, games, and educational activities.
- Help children with basic hygiene needs, including handwashing and restroom routines.
- Monitor children's behavior and report concerns to supervisors.
- Follow daycare policies and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate professionally with staff and parents when needed.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is a plus but not required.
- Ability to interact positively with young children.
- Reliable, patient, and responsible.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry children or supplies as needed.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
