Role Description The Product & Purchasing Assistant is a full-time, on-site role located in Lakewood, NJ. This position supports day-to-day purchasing activities, including assisting with vendor communication, preparing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate records of product costs and availability. The role involves coordinating with internal teams to ensure inventory levels meet sales demands, reviewing product data and descriptions, and helping to identify new product opportunities. The assistant will update internal systems with product and purchasing information, resolve basic order or delivery issues, and help maintain organized documentation for purchasing and product catalogs. This role requires consistent in-person collaboration with colleagues in the office and warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, including data entry accuracy, document management, and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of purchasing or supply chain processes, such as creating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and working with vendors.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email) and ability to learn internal inventory or ERP systems.
