Role Description The YouTube and Content Editor role at Collector Nation is a contract, on-site position based in Easley, SC. This role is responsible for editing and assembling long-form and short-form video content for YouTube and other platforms, including cutting, sequencing, and refining footage to align with brand and channel guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with producers and creators, integrating graphics, audio, and effects, and optimizing videos for audience engagement, watch time, and storytelling impact. The YouTube and Content Editor will repurpose live and studio content into clips, highlight reels, and social-ready formats, while maintaining consistent visual identity and quality standards. The role also involves managing file organization, adhering to deadlines, and contributing creative ideas to improve content performance and viewer experience.
Qualifications
- Possess strong video editing skills, including proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and basic motion graphics tools.
- Demonstrate experience tailoring content for YouTube and social platforms, including understanding of thumbnails, titles, pacing, retention, and platform best practices.
- Have skills in audio editing and mixing, color correction, and visual storytelling to deliver polished, engaging content.
- Show ability to collaborate with creators, producers, and on-site teams, communicating clearly and incorporating feedback efficiently.
- Bring familiarity or interest in sports cards, collectibles, or fan-driven culture, with a willingness to learn the hobby and its audience.
- Display strong organizational habits, time management, and attention to detail when handling multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Hold relevant experience in content production, digital media, or a related field; a portfolio or reel showcasing editing work is highly beneficial.
