Receiving Lead

The Receiving Lead will be the primary receiver for inbound shipments and will help ensure timely unloading and stocking of items. The Receiving Lead will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and the Production Lead to help maintain the organization of the warehouse.

Duties/Responsibilities

Receiving and Stocking

·         Serve as the primary receiver for inbound shipments.

·         Load and unload freight in a safe and efficient manner.

·         Check in received product against packing lists and purchase orders, noting any shortages, overages, or damage.

·         Ensure received items are stocked to their correct locations in a timely manner.

·         Use RF handheld equipment to receive, locate, and track inventory.

·         Handle complaints related to shipments and notify the supervisor of any shipping or receiving issues.

Inventory Control

·         Assist with inventory control and preventing shrinkage.

·         Conduct physical inventory counts and adjust discrepancies.

·         Learn warehouse products so items are identified, received, and stored correctly.

Workflow and Production

·         Coordinate the receiving workflow and direct available team members to avoid bottlenecks.

·         Partner with the Production Lead to balance receiving and order-fulfillment needs.

·         Maintain production metrics for daily and weekly reports.

·         Pull, pack, and ship orders as needed.

Warehouse Organization and Team

·         Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the receiving area and warehouse.

·         Maintain a positive work atmosphere that strengthens the team.

·         Follow and model safe warehouse working practices.

General

·         Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

·         Complete other duties as assigned by warehouse leads or leadership.

Education and Experience

·         High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

·         1–3 years of warehouse experience preferred; receiving experience a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities
 Responsible for the receiving process; no direct reports.

Physical Requirements

·         Must be able to lift 50 lbs. safely.

·         Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
