Collective Uplift is seeking a Videography & Social Media Intern to support Peak Performance Academy (PPA). This internship offers hands-on experience capturing real-time sports content and managing social media for a growing athlete development brand.
This role is ideal for students or emerging creatives interested in sports media, videography, marketing, or brand storytelling.
Applicants must be located in Illinois to support on-site filming.
Key Responsibilities
π₯ Videography & Content Creation
β’ Film on-site PPA training sessions, drills, athlete highlights, and behind-the-scenes moments
β’ Capture short-form vertical video (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
β’ Edit content with captions, music, and branding
β’ Deliver weekly content batches for posting and promotions
β’ Organize and maintain content libraries (Google Drive or similar)
π± Social Media Support
β’ Assist in managing PPA social media accounts
(Instagram primary; TikTok & X secondary)
β’ Schedule and publish posts, reels, and stories
β’ Write engaging captions aligned with the Collective Uplift & PPA brand voice
β’ Tag athletes, parents, partners, and locations appropriately
β’ Monitor comments and DMs and flag potential leads to staff
Brand & Growth Exposure
β’ Collaborate with coaches and leadership on content ideas
β’ Support video assets for Meta ads (content creation only)
β’ Learn how content supports lead generation and brand growth
Intern Qualifications
β’ Currently enrolled student or recent graduate (or equivalent experience)
β’ Interest in sports media, videography, marketing, or social content
β’ Comfortable filming fast-paced athletic environments
β’ Familiar with editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.)
β’ Organized, dependable, and eager to learn
β’ Passion for sports, creativity, and storytelling
Preferred (Not Required):
β’ Experience creating content for sports teams or training facilities
β’ Basic photography skills
β’ Familiarity with Canva and social media scheduling tools
Location & Time Commitment
β’ Must be based in Illinois (Chicago and surrounding areas preferred)
β’ On-site filming: 1 sessions per week (Saturday at 6:30am)
β’ Editing and posting can be done remotely
β’ Estimated commitment: 8-12 hours a week
