The Media Strategy Supervisor plays a pivotal role in developing, executing, and reporting on media strategies that align with clients' business objectives. This position may involve acting as strategy lead on smaller accounts and supporting media directions on larger accounts through research, insight generation, the creation of compelling presentations, and the analysis of campaign results. The Supervisor ensures the accuracy of critical media documents, fosters strong internal and external relationships, contributes to thought leadership initiatives, and provides data-driven recommendations based on category & audience research, campaign performance and cross-channel analysis.

_RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership & Development:

  • Independently lead the development of comprehensive media strategies for smaller client accounts, encompassing objective setting, target audience definition, channel selection, and budget allocation.
  • Collaborates with strategy leads on key accounts to contribute to the overarching strategic direction through in-depth research, synthesis of information from execution teams, and the creation of clear and persuasive presentation materials.
  • Proactively identify strategic opportunities and develop innovative approaches that directly address and support clients' core business objectives.
  • Formulate well-reasoned recommendations for audience targeting and segmentation based on a thorough analysis of campaign performance data, and audience research.
  • Develop accurate forecasting models (in partnership with channel leads) and strategic recommendations that align with and contribute to the achievement of client goals.


Media Plan Oversight & Accuracy:

  • Maintain oversight of all key media planning documents, including Media Authorizations (MAs), flowcharts, and primary documentation, ensuring their accuracy and alignment with the approved strategy.


Insight Generation & Reporting:

  • Conduct research and analysis of market trends, competitive activities, and consumer behavior to uncover actionable insights that inform strategic media recommendations.
  • Proficiency in audience and competitive research tools including MRI, MediaRadar, Pathmatics & SRDS.
  • Leverage cross-channel performance data to identify meaningful trends, develop holistic insights, and formulate data-driven recommendations for optimization and future strategies.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise reports on campaign performance, key trends, and strategic recommendations to both internal teams and clients.
  • Propose clear and actionable next steps based on data analysis and strategic understanding.
  • Review channel-specific reports and presentations, providing constructive feedback to ensure strategic alignment and clarity.


Client Team Cross Department Collaboration:

  • Work closely and collaboratively with channel leads across all client accounts to identify potential gaps in media plans and develop effective solutions.
  • Serve as a proactive, resourceful, and creative problem-solver, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented environment within the team.
  • Act as a key point of contact and participant in cross-functional team collaborations, representing the strategic perspective of the client team.
  • Collaborate with channel leads on the research and development of budget estimates.


Thought Leadership & Knowledge Sharing:

  • Actively contribute to the agency's thought leadership initiatives through the development of blog posts, points of view (POVs), tech and trends and other relevant content.
  • Attend industry events and conferences (as budget is available) to stay informed of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices within the media landscape.
  • Effectively communicate complex media concepts and strategies in a clear and understandable manner to both internal teams and clients.


Team Support & Process Adherence:

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and commitment to departmental goals and established processes.
  • Proactively share relevant work updates and insights during internal team (CStrat) and broader staff meetings.
  • Fully understands & supports dept goals, is an internal champion of all processes and sets an example across the team


_REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Deep understanding of core media principles, consumer journey mapping, media mix strategies, the role of various channels, and emerging technologies and trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic thinking into actionable media plans and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in utilizing key media research and planning tools, including MRI, NMI, MediaRadar, Pathmatics, and SRDS.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify key insights, and develop data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.


_PAY TRANSPARENCY EXCELLENT EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:

The details of our job offers are determined by relevant experience and knowledge related to the position. The starting base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000, in addition to discretionary bonuses, and access to our excellent employee benefits, including:
