We are seeking a Director of Integrated Video to lead our national and local television planning and buying. In this role, you will be responsible for building a cohesive video practice where television and digital video (CTV/OLV) are planned and bought in lockstep to deliver results. You will work collaboratively with the VP of Media & Connection Strategy to shape the vision of the department and operational standards that reflect our high-performance, employee-owned culture.
This role requires a deep understanding of how television and digital video work together to propel brands forward and expertise in both national and local television planning and buying. JOB DUTIES:
Media Leadership:
- Enhance agency video planning practice in regard to local and national television while integrating with digital video and broader full funnel tactics to deliver comprehensive integrated plans
- Develop buying best practices across local and national linear television
- Ensure strategic vision and work is understood and visible to the industry, the clients and the broader agency.
- Promote Collective Measures’ brand via blog posts, case studies, and speaking engagements.
- Connect media efforts to performance metrics in conjunction with media and advanced analytics leaders
- Advise on tool needs, manage budget and assess usage.
- Engage key clients as a media leader and linear expert
- Understand and adopt new techniques and technologies that are relevant for clients’ media strategies.
- Support broader media team at key client planning and buying moments, integrated planning meetings, upfronts, buy summaries, and QBRs.
- Continuous focus on revenue retention, increasing product adoption and media spend.
- Support internal Collective Measures marketing efforts as a key contributor.
- Participate in new business processes pitches; inspire new business efforts.
- Collaborate with strategy, brand and performance media leaders to drive best in class video and media strategy.
- Foster a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity.
- Motivate, lead, and manage internal team members, working collaboratively to deliver work that meet our clients’ business objectives.
- Maintain a focus on employee development, mentorship and coaching, incorporating regular feedback for all team members; foster close collaboration with individual team leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred; MBA or master’s degree is a plus
- 12 years of progressive levels of responsibility in media planning, buying with a focus on television, and 4-7 years of demonstrated success in managing and leading people
- Proven experience in delivering clear, strategic presentations to marketing executives
- Demonstrated experience in managing a department and developing key talent
- Understanding of cross channel paid media planning and buying with a focus on video
- High competency level in MS Office with specific strengths in Excel and PowerPoint; comfort with various media tools, such as Nielsen, programmatic and contracting software
- Able to work independently and balance multiple tasks
- Must be able to speak and read English proficiently;
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time;
- Must be able to use a keyboard and a telephone.
