Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Merchandise Buyer, located in McDonough, GA. The
Merchandise Buyer will be responsible for product purchasing, analyzing sales trends,
managing inventory levels, building relationships with vendors, and negotiating
purchase orders to secure the best pricing. The role also involves ensuring alignment
with the company's sales goals, monitoring market trends, and collaborating with
different departments to optimize product offerings.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain strong vendor relationships
• Be first to market with new products
• Ability to search for new vendor and product opportunities
• Presenting new products to team members
• Create product web descriptions and categories
• Work with all levels of organization, senior team, customer service, fulfillment, IT,
ecommerce.
• Propose initial order quantities
• Propose re-buys
• Understand competitive landscape
• Analyzing results to show vendor/item performance
• Maintain system accuracy
• Vendor/product setup
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Purchasing and Inventory Management to effectively manage
stock levels and ensure product availability
• Strong Analytical Skills for sales trend analysis, market research, and data-driven
decision-making
• Strong excel skills in VLOOKUP, filtering, sorting and pivot tables
• Excellent Communication and relationship-building skills to negotiate with
vendors and collaborate with internal teams
• Experience in Sales with the ability to align purchasing strategies to meet sales
goals
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and
deadlines effectively
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
preferred
• Experience in retail, consumer goods, or a related industry is a plus
