Location: Boston, MA (or surrounding area) with regular travel to portfolio properties as business needs require.

Position Summary

The Director, Food & Beverage - Portfolio Operations supports the successful execution of Collared Martin Hospitality's food and beverage strategy by partnering with property teams and corporate leadership to strengthen operations, drive key initiatives, and elevate performance across the portfolio. From time to time, this role may participate alongside Blue Flag Capital's investment and asset management teams in evaluating new concepts and supporting annual budgets and business plans.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Projects & Execution

Lead strategic initiatives, property openings, operational projects, and cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation, ensuring objectives are achieved on time, within scope, and aligned with company priorities.

• Operational Excellence

Support property teams through operational analysis, financial insight, systems improvement, and hands-on leadership to strengthen performance, consistency, and guest experience across the portfolio. Build partnerships with F&B Leaders throughout the portfolio in order to execute projects successfully.

• Leadership & Partnership

Serve as a trusted partner to the property leaders and corporate teams, as well as the Executive Leadership Team, to build organizational capability, foster accountability, and advance Collared Martin Hospitality's culture and strategic objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio initiatives and property projects from planning through implementation, ensuring timely and successful execution.
• Support the development and implementation of Learning & Development initiatives.
• Partner with property leadership to identify operational opportunities and implement practical, result-driven solutions.
• Work alongside Blue Flag Capital’s asset management team to prepare annual budgets and business plans for each asset
• Conduct monthly P&L reviews with all key stakeholders to evaluate performance
• Work with Collared Martin Hospitality’s sales and revenue teams to forecast topline results throughout the year
• Translate financial reporting and P&L insights into operational improvements that strengthen performance and profitability.
• Support culinary and beverage execution by helping teams deliver concepts that align with each property's vision, standards, and business goals.
• Assist with menu development, product mix analysis, pricing strategies, and operational systems to improve performance and guest satisfaction.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of Food & Beverage leaders while helping build strong, high-performing teams.
• Assist properties with purchasing, vendor relationships, inventory systems, and operational best practices.
• Serve as a task force resource for openings, transitions, leadership support, and other operational priorities across the portfolio.
• Foster clear communication and collaboration between property teams, corporate departments, and ownership to advance company initiatives.
• Partner across Operations, Finance, Marketing, Revenue, People & Culture, and Development to support the successful execution of portfolio objectives.
• Build strong relationships with property leaders through hands-on support, coaching, and consistent follow-through.
• Champion Collared Martin Hospitality's standards, culture, and commitment to exceptional hospitality across every property.
• From time to time, support Blue Flag Capital’s investment team on underwriting new F&B concepts

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of progressive Food & Beverage leadership experience.
• Proven project management and organizational skills.
• Proven success leading cross-functional projects and operational initiatives.
• Strong hotel and restaurant operations knowledge.
• Strong culinary, spirits, beer, and wine knowledge.
• Strong financial, analytical, and operational acumen.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a plus, but not required.
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Professional, adaptable, and collaborative leadership style.
