CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit agency, is looking for an Accounting Clerk in Freehold. Under the Comptroller, the Accounting Clerk will perform various clerical and routine accounting tasks including posting entries, verifying, and reconciling input to financial reporting system output, processing payments, and assisting in preparation of billings and other financial reports.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely manner; review bills for any issues, escalate as needed.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct general ledger account, customer record, and/or vendor ledger. Communicates (both in verbal and written form) with clients, suppliers, vendors, and banking contacts.
- Process Employee Reimbursement Requests, Petty Cash, and Wellness Grant Reimbursements monthly.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Must be proficient in accounting software, MS Office especially Excel.
- Experience with Peach Tree and/or YARDI a plus!
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Communicate effectively at all levels in a diverse fast paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
- Valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.
