Forklift Warehouse Associate – 1st Shift
Pay: $17.85/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are hiring a Forklift Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations, including material handling, receiving, order picking, packaging, labeling, and inventory transactions. This role is a great fit for candidates with forklift experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and using computer systems to process inventory.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to accurately follow written procedures and warehouse processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to safely move, stage, and position materials and products.
- Package and label customer orders accurately according to established procedures.
- Use computer systems to process receipts, putaways, picks, and inventory replenishments.
- Inspect incoming product and compare shipments against shipping manifests to verify quantity and accuracy.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and communicate issues to Inventory Control or Warehouse Management for resolution.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to help review and disposition incoming product.
- Read and follow product labels, picking sheets, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment while following all required safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous forklift experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate an electric forklift, manual pallet jack, and rolling pushcart.
- Forklift certification preferred; company-provided certification is available for qualified employees.
- Ability to perform basic math and accurately handle quantities and inventory information.
- Ability to read, understand, and make decisions based on written operating procedures.
- Ability to read product labels, picking sheets, shipping documents, and warehouse paperwork.
- Strong attention to detail when receiving, picking, packaging, labeling, and verifying products.
- Ability to communicate inventory discrepancies and other warehouse issues to a supervisor or manager.
- Dependable attendance, a strong work ethic, and commitment to workplace safety.
