What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workday HCM Functional Architect - Global AMS (Application Managed Services) position at Collaborative Insurance Solutions, LLC?
The Workday HCM Functional Architect - Global AMS (Application Managed Services) is the “go to” leader, expected to provide expert guidance and delivery for HCM engagements. This individual serves as the billable functional lead on Workday HCM AMS and Phase X engagements. Uses broad experience with workday implementations, AMS support and tenant assessments to drive client towards value realization of their Workday investment. This person is a senior Workday HCM product expert who works closely with Engagement Managers, Managers, and other functional area leads. This person will provide overarching guidance and leadership on HCM engagements to ensure a robust and complete solution that meets customer needs and allows for future enhancements with limited rework.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Lead multiple, concurrent Workday HCM AMS engagements
Resolve client requirements through tailored Workday HCM solutions
Oversee all functional areas on assigned AMS engagements, ensuring efficient and accurate design and configuration of the delivered solution.
Has a broad understanding of the entire Workday HCM product suite, providing the ability to clients and leaders in high level terms in any given areas.
Partner with customer to build roadmap aligning with the customer needs and industry trends
Design and deliver future-ready Workday solutions to help organizations optimize their HR functions.
Mentor junior project resources by providing guidance allowing them to learn new skills and functional areas, lead customer sessions, and configure the solution
Serve as an advocate and escalation point for the EM and functional team and ensure issues are being addressed
Ability to connect with all levels of customers/prospect leadership.
Help team to understand and adhere to methodology and provide feedback to appropriate parties internally to support continuous enhancement of our tools and process
Continuous commitment to the ongoing optimization of the AMS methodology, which includes driving team members to keep these tools current
Ensures cohesive structures and project communications are in place for cross-functional delivery between their area and the following areas: HCM, Payroll, Integrations, Financials, Organizational Change & Training, Data Conversion, and Reporting
Conduct internal Quality Assurance
Team Leadership
Assist engagement/project managers and team members when needed to identify project needs and develop solutions and strategies
Drive team and individuals to achieve high customer satisfaction levels
Track teams’ performance to align with organizational objectives and departmental KPIs
Workday Knowledge
Actively participate in the Workday Product Lead Program
Attend regular Workday KSS calls for HCM product areas
Maintain Workday certifications
Sales Support
Assist Solution Architects with estimating projects, as necessary
Participate in Sales Orals meetings for proposed assignments
Assisting with or reviewing estimates for Change Orders in functional areas
Participating in discussions regarding functional areas that may come into scope for project or customer
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
Current Workday HCM Certification with multiple domains is a requirement for this role
Possess 9+ years of Workday HCM implementation or AMS experience
Experience handling multiple AMS engagement is a plus
Ability to balance multiple project engagements at a time.
Ability to work with team across time zones.
Experience with Core HR along with one or more of the following: Recruiting, Talent and Performance, Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Benefits and 3rd party Providers.
Possess project management and/or team lead experience
Previous experience in thought leadership preferred
Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed
Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments
Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $158,936 - $201-007 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
