What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dementia Experienced Caregivers - Monday thru Thursday - 11 AM to 4 PM - New Haven, CT position at Collaborative Home Care?
Alzheimer's & Dementia Caregiver — New Haven, CT Monday-Friday | 11AM-4PM | $22/hour
If you have experience with Alzheimer's care, you already know that the best caregivers don't just work around their clients — they work with them.
Our client is a warm woman living with moderate Alzheimer's disease in New Haven. As her condition has progressed, she needs a caregiver who understands that engagement is care. She won't initiate activities on her own, so her caregiver needs to. That means arriving each day with ideas — conversation, music, art, a gentle walk through the home, looking through a book together — and the patience and skill to encourage participation even when she initially resists.
This is a role for someone who genuinely understands dementia care and finds meaning in showing up fully for a client every single day.
Schedule
At Collaborative Home Care, our mission is simple: to bring respect, compassion, and consistency to caregiving — for both clients and the people who care for them.
Apply today and join one of Connecticut's highest-rated home care teams.
We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
