Itinerant Teacher - All Content Areas (Western Massachusetts)
Looking for a change from the traditional school model? We are seeking a dedicated teacher to provide engaging, personalized education to high school youth within Department of Youth Services (DYS) programs in our Western Region.
We offer a high-support environment, with no cell phone battles and no lunch duty. Our teachers focus on doing what they love to do - working with diverse, multi-grade level students who have complex learning profiles to unlock their potential.
Experience working with youth in an academic setting is required. This position will require moving between programs located in the western region of Massachusetts (Springfield area).

Salary range: $57,233 – $81,060

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University
- Current Massachusetts secondary level teacher licensure (8-12; 5-12) in one or more of the following core content areas aligned to teaching assignment: e.g. Math, English/Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Reading.
- Additional grade levels (5-8) in the corresponding subject area is allowable for a duration of up to two years while the employee secures upper grade level certification
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle or method for attending trainings or other meetings as required at locations throughout the state
- Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement for core content teachers pursuant to ESE regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree from an accredited College or University
Successful teaching experience with adolescents placed at-risk
Salary : $57,233 - $81,060
