Job Title: Wireless Test Engineer
Location: San Ramon, CA
Duration: 24 Months- possible extension/conversion
Salary and Other Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $ 45.00/hr- $ 50.00/hr .
Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
5 years’ experience in telecom or networking environments.
Strong understanding of wireline, wireless, and telecom systems.
Familiar with SIP, RTP, TCP/IP networking protocols and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark).
Ability to interpret and analyze SIP error codes and call failures.
Testing mindset — understands control groups, knowns vs. unknowns, and iterative validation.
Prior experience in 911 industry (dispatcher, police, emergency response).
Solid communication skills and analytical troubleshooting ability.
Strong understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls and how they interconnect.
