Job Summary:
This role supports a leading healthcare technology firm by developing and implementing LC/MS-based bioanalysis and in vitro characterization assays for novel biologic entities. The Scientist will perform method development, sample preparation, data analysis, and bioanalytical assay operations to support in vivo PK, TK, and PK/PD studies. The position involves working with therapeutic proteins, peptides, and oligonucleotides while contributing to characterization, data reporting, and cross-functional scientific discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, optimize, and implement LC/MS-based bioanalytical assays for biologic entities.
• Operate and maintain LC/MS instruments to produce high-quality data.
• Perform affinity purification of therapeutic proteins from biological matrices.
• Conduct sample preparation, data analysis, and maintain detailed documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks.
• Support assay optimization to enhance laboratory efficiency and data quality.
• Present and communicate scientific findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
• Degree in chemistry, pharmacology, or a related scientific field.
• BS or MS with at least one year of LC/MS experience, or a PhD with relevant mass spectrometry experience.
• Hands-on experience with routine LC/MS-based bioanalysis to support PK, TK, and PK/PD studies.
• Practical experience with QQQ, qTOF, and/or Orbitrap mass spectrometers.
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in drug discovery or drug development environments.
• Knowledge of in vitro characterization assays for biologics.
• Experience with automated liquid handling systems.
• Experience with oligonucleotide analysis.
