Job Summary:
The Process Support Engineer II is responsible for providing technical and engineering support to manufacturing operations, with a focus on process optimization, packaging engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves data analysis, process validation, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance product quality, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background and the ability to manage projects independently within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance yield, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency
• Analyze process data using statistical methods to identify trends and implement corrective actions
• Provide technical support for shop floor operations and resolve manufacturing issues
• Conduct root cause investigations and develop scientifically sound solutions
• Support process validation activities including protocol development and report generation
• Define testing parameters and guide laboratory execution for packaging and materials testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain
• Manage project timelines, coordinate activities, and communicate progress effectively
• Maintain compliant documentation including technical reports, validation records, and process documents
• Participate in internal and external meetings, occasionally leading discussions
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry
• 3–5 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field
• Strong technical knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
• Experience with packaging design and material specifications
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control
• Experience in protocol and report writing
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree specialization in Packaging Engineering or Material Science
• Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
• Knowledge of packaging components such as labels, cartons, leaflets, bottles, and corrugated materials
• Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders
