Job Description
Day to Day:
- Resource would assist IT operations team at Client to provision new environments, VPNs, firewalls and migration of applications across data centers.
- Systems Engineering/Design – Design, Implementation and Maintenance of integrated systems, should be able to draw out systems design on a white board
- Network experience – Need to understand how firewalls and load balancers work within an enterprise environment
- Either Linux/Unix or Windows OS (preferably both, and Linux is better)
- Technical knowledge but comfortable being "hands off" and ability to project manage
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- VMWare experience, strong experience with Virtual Environments
- Network Engineering, Storage, UNIX scripting experience
- Strong overall infrastructure/datacenter background
- Some combination of the following in order of importance: Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, App support, Storage support)
- They have had trouble finding someone with hands-on experience with VMWare, firewalls, VPNs, infrastructure provisioning – must have!
