Job Summary:
The company is seeking a Facilities Engineering Project Support Intern to support engineering and facilities operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. This position provides hands-on exposure to automation, equipment maintenance, process improvement, validation activities, and facilities support. The role is ideal for current engineering students interested in gaining practical experience in manufacturing, engineering operations, and regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support facilities engineering and maintenance activities across manufacturing and campus operations
• Assist with automation processes and hands-on engineering support activities
• Create, revise, and maintain technical documentation and training materials
• Train personnel on updated procedures, SOPs, and technical processes
• Support equipment and process troubleshooting activities and escalate issues when needed
• Participate in continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives
• Assist with room, equipment, and process validation activities
• Support development of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams on process improvements
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational procedures within a regulated environment
Required Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in a professional environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday
• Ability to start within a short timeframe preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Familiarity with GMP, FDA, ISO, or regulated industry environments
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
• Exposure to equipment validation, automation, or maintenance processes
• Understanding of cGMP or ISO 13485 practices
