Job Title: Capacity Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC/Plano, TX
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Client Industry: Banking
Duration: 12 -18 months Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Must Haves:

• 
  
  5 - 6 years IT capacity management experience in enterprise environments.
  
  


• 
  
  Strong knowledge of capacity planning methodologies, performance analysis, and scaling decisions.
  
  


• 
  
  Ability to understand platform architecture and resource needs across multi data center environments.
  
  


• 
  
  Experience reviewing technical docs and interpreting saturation/performance test results.
  
  


• 
  
  Tools: AppDynamics, DynaTrace, Splunk, SAR/vmstat.
  
  


• 
  
  Knowledge of ITIL capacity management practices (COBIT framework a plus).
  
  


• 
  
  Familiar with risk/regulatory management and information security basics.
  
  


• 
  
  Strong communication and ability to partner with application/production support teams.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Monitor and evaluate system/application metrics to ensure stability and scalability.

  
  


• 
  
  Assess projected growth for applications and align with resource requirements.
  
  


• 
  
  Support ongoing capacity management, including scaling decisions and contingency planning.
  
  


• 
  
  Provide guidance on platform architecture and capacity utilization.
  
  


• 
  
  Collaborate across production support and application teams to manage capacity across multiple data centers.
  
  


• 
  
  Less project-focused initially; emphasis is on steady-state capacity operations.
  
  


• 
  
  Communicate risks, projections, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
  
  

Compensation

Hourly Rate: 54$-57$ per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
