Job Summary:
The Calibration Technician I is responsible for performing calibration and maintenance of testing and measurement equipment across manufacturing and research environments. This role ensures equipment accuracy and compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The position supports product quality by maintaining precise calibration records and assisting with validation and engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform calibration of measurement and testing equipment, tools, gauges, and fixtures following established procedures
• Maintain calibration schedules to ensure all equipment meets required accuracy standards
• Set up, test, inspect, and maintain equipment to support manufacturing and research operations
• Document calibration data accurately to support audits, compliance, and trend analysis
• Coordinate with external vendors for calibration services when required
• Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve equipment-related issues
• Support engineering, validation, and qualification activities through data collection and reporting
• Assist in maintaining technical documentation and standard operating procedures
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Zero to three years of calibration, technical, or related experience
• Knowledge of equipment calibration, measurement tools, and testing instruments
• Understanding of quality systems and ISO standards
• Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation and records
• Basic troubleshooting and data analysis skills
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry and reporting
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate degree or relevant technical coursework
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing or research environment
• Familiarity with quality systems subject to regulatory compliance
• Exposure to engineering, validation, or qualification processes
• Experience working with external calibration vendors
