Job Summary:
The Junior Laboratory Technician will support laboratory operations by performing confirmatory testing using advanced analytical instruments. This role focuses on ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards while assisting with quality control activities. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced scientific environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry and Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry instruments for confirmatory testing
• Perform testing in accordance with regulatory guidelines and established laboratory procedures
• Analyze non-negative samples and ensure accurate result reporting
• Conduct quality control activities to maintain data integrity and compliance
• Document test results and maintain accurate laboratory records
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols at all times
• Support general laboratory operations and assist with additional tasks as needed
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field
• Basic knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and analytical techniques
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow strict regulatory and procedural guidelines
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with Gas Chromatography or Mass Spectrometry instruments
• Familiarity with laboratory quality control processes
• Previous experience in a regulated laboratory environment
